Payment Card Reader CAS Configuration

Payment Card Reader CAS Configuration

Currently, two different card reader vendors are supported in CAS.

Card readers currently support EUR transactions only.

  • Each connected Terminal must include the EUR fiat, and

  • include EUR in the respective AML/KYC setting.

Choose the reader you’re installing from this list to navigate to that specific Terminal configuration. The remainder of this guide is common to both variants:

  1. Add the EUR fiat.

  2. Set the Terminal’s AML/KYC to use EUR.

  3. Set your Terminal’s “Payment Card Reader Settings” to use the hardware-defined protocol:

      1. Payment Card Reader ID = eight digits unique to each card reader.

      2. These digits are labeled as a “TID#” on the device.

    2. Worldline Valina - CTEP (no further CAS configuration required).

  4. CTEP configuration ON THE VALINA (when used instead of TIM):

    1. Press the M button on the back of the device 5 times.

    2. Select “Configuration”.

    3. Select “Technician Menu”.

    4. Input the password.

    5. Check the device has correct IP address set in “Network Interface” → “Ethernet” → “IP address” (must be on the same network/router as the BATM).

    6. Go to POS Integration.

      1. Pick CTEP Protocol, press OK.

      2. Pick TCP/IP Client, press OK.

      3. Set POS IP address to the BATM IP address.

      4. Set POS port number to 9000.

      5. Leave the menu.

    7. Reboot the BATM.

    8. The Debit/Credit card reader should now correctly initialize during BATM startup.
