BATMThree Ethernet Cabling
This guide demonstrates how to install Ethernet for your Internet connection on a BATMThree.
1. Remove power to the BATM.
2. Remove the cable port plate:
Use the 7mm nut driver (provided with the BATM) to remove the 2 nuts.
Feed the cable through the now exposed hole.
3. Feed the cable & reattach the plate (reverse the notch).
WARNING: do NOT pinch the Ethernet cable.
75cm (about 30 inches) length of internal cable should suffice.
A few zippy ties will function well as strain relief. Use 2 or more zippy ties (as needed). Don’t overtighten the zippy ties, don’t knot or pinch the cable.
4. Run the cable up and to the left.
5. Remove the control area cover plate:
6. Attach the LAN cable to the mainboard:
7. Replace the control area cover plate to it’s original location.
8. Apply power, boot the BATM & test the Ethernet connection.
Do not use WiFi with Ethernet - the two may compete & produce unpredictable results.
