Recycler Float Downs

Recyclers must be specifically unloaded. Purges (called a “float down”) are logged (and viewed) here.

  • The log can be exported as a CSV file.

A “float down” would be performed:

  • before certain critical operations, like updating the Recycler firmware, or

    • when all the banknotes must be unloaded in a single action.

  • The Recycler Float Down Public ID can be located via the global search.

To quickly purge all banknotes in the Recycler and reset the contents to zero, you can arbitrarily choose to “Float down” the Recycler. All banknotes are then pushed into the stacker (cashbox).

  • You may find this useful when using a third-party agent to perform cash collections.

There are 2 methods of performing a “Float Down”:

a) Remotely (from CAS)

Navigate to the BATM’s ACTION menu and select “Recycler float down”.

b) Onsite (at the BATM)

  1. Enter BATM ADVANCED ADMINISTRATION (instructions: ).

  2. Press CASHBOXES, then

  3. press CONFIGURE CASHBOXES,

  4. press RECYCLER - CASHBOXES, and

  5. Float down all banknotes.

  • “Float down unknown documents” has the same effect, but is used to zero-out internal counters. This is useful in instances where settings changes were accidentally made (absent a purge).
