Programming
The BATM Alarm is programmed remotely using SMS messages.
You must program the Alarm before deploying it.
Table of Contents:
Alarm Name
The Alarm Name is used as an identifier which is sent with every outgoing SMS message to you.
name
Syntax:
name BT123456
Specifies a unique identifier for the Alarm.
Maximum 20 characters.
We recommend that you use the serial number of the BATM in which the Alarm will be deployed.
The BATM s/n is located on the external manufacturing sticker, or on the Administration screen of your BATM.
The Alarm will confirm via SMS reply:
"Name of BATM ALARM was successfully updated to: BT123456"
Alert Recipients
The Alarm will send notifications to listed (and approved) recipients.
Recipients receive notifications when an alarm has been triggered.
Recipients have permission to arm & disarm.
Note:
We recommend limiting your Alert Recipients to a minimum.
Each outgoing SMS takes about 5-10 sec depending on signal strength, GSM network traffic, etc.
The alarm cannot receive AND send SMS messages simultaneously.
While sending an SMS it is not possible to receive an SMS until all outgoing alerts are completed, so incoming SMS commands will be delayed.
If there aren’t many alerts to send, the alarm will respond more quickly.
