Telegram Notifications (GB Cloud)
Telegram is a free & open-source messenger.
This article describes Telegram configuration for CAS when using the General Bytes' Cloud CAS to receive notifications from CAS regarding transactions and other events relevant to your BATM operation.
Use your own CAS server? See: Telegram Notifications (Standalone)
Identify your CAS Telegram User ID:
1. Open Telegram and locate the General Bytes Cloud bot:
Search for: cloud_generalbytes_com_bot
Select the cloud.generalbytes.com bot.
2. Click on the start button:
Say “Hello” to the new bot (actually send “Hello” in a text message).
You should receive a message from the bot that displays your ID:
This number is your "Telegram User ID" for notification rules!
3. Add your Telegram User ID to an authorized Person in CAS:
Be sure to SAVE the setting (using SUBMIT).
4. Create a Telegram Notification Rule:
The Action Parameter is the same Telegram ID which you've already identified.
The ID MUST already be specified in an authorized Person (previous step).
The notification policy must be used by a Terminal to succeed.
Save the Policy/Rule and test using a BATM.
Telegram notification setup is now complete.
If you have carefully followed the above steps, and the Condition specified does not trigger a notification properly, please Create a Support Ticket
