Recyclers must be specifically unloaded. Purges (also called a “float down”) . This purge must be performed are logged (and viewed) here.

  • The log can be exported as a CSV file.

A “float down” would be performed:

  • before certain critical operations, like updating the Recycler firmware, or

    • when all the banknotes must be unloaded in a single action.

  • The Recycler Float Down Public ID can be located via the global search.

There are 2 methods of performing a “Float Down”:

a) Remotely (from CAS)

Navigate to the BATM’s ACTION menu and select “Recycler float down”.

b) Onsite (at the BATM)

  1. Enter BATM ADVANCED ADMINISTRATION (instructions: https://generalbytes.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/ESD/pages/934609153/Access+the+ADVANCED+Administration+Screen ).

  2. Press CASHBOXES, then

  3. press CONFIGURE CASHBOXES,

  4. press RECYCLER - CASHBOXES, and

  5. Float down all banknotes.

  • “Float down unknown documents” has the same effect, but is used to zero-out internal counters. This is useful in instances where settings changes were accidentally made (absent a purge).
