Install a GMKit in a GenMega model UK:

Step 1:

Turn off the ATM.

Check if all the cables has labels, if not mark port number have labels. If labels are missing, mark them with a port number to indicate where they were connected (or add your own labels).

Step 3:

Disconnect all the cables from the original computerCPU.

Step 4:

Unscrew Remove these two mounting screws.

Step 5:

Gently Carefully remove the original computerCPU.

Step 6:

Unbox the General Bytes GMKit.

Step 7:

Connect USB (bottom ones) and power (upper one) cables.
USBs are connected to bottom four connector. Order the integrated USB cables, and the power.

  • USB cables connect to the bottom four USB ports.

  • The order doesn't matter.

Step 8:

Insert Install the GMKit to into your Genmega kiosk and use .

  • Use the same screws to keep it in place

Step 9:

Carefully connect cables back according to cable labels and GMKit label.
This image shows damaged COM4, to prevent this you need to put in cable straight to GMKit, plugging cable in angle can bend pins inside the connectorthe original GenMega cables into the proper USB ports, matching the cable labels with each GMKit port label.

Step 10:

COM1, COM2 and UPS are left disconnected.

Turn on the ATM.

Connect the kiosk to CAS.

Troubleshooting

This image shows a damaged COM4. To prevent this: put the cable straight in to the GMKit.

  • Inserting the cable at an angle can bend the pins inside the connector (damaging them).

  • If this happens you

  • might be able to carefully bend pin back to it's position.

If you unfortunately manage to break the pin, there is a probably chance the device will still work correctly , - because not all the pins are used. In this case please contact us with photo of broken connector for further information.
But be very careful when connecting these cables.
