Problem

Terminal upgrade fails, displaying the error “Unknown Version”.

Furthermore, your Terminal Settings display:

General Bytes Knowledge Base > Message: Unknown Version > image-20200618-172650.png

Solution

Reboot the Terminal.
Make sure the Terminal is connecting to CAS, see: Set the BATM Server IP
Make sure the Terminal is paired, see: Error: TLS error
Retry Terminal upgrade.

In some rare cases, the firmware (or mainboard) may require manual updating by GB.

You’ll be required to ship the related components. Start with a Support Ticket.
Attach pictures of your internal controller assembly.
