Ethernet Cabling

This guide demonstrates how to install Ethernet for your Internet connection on a BATM4.

1. Remove the port cover plate:

• Use the 7mm nut driver (provided with the BATM) to remove the 2 nuts.

• Run the cable through the now exposed hole.

• Replace the plate, reversing the notch, to hold the Ethernet cable.

2. Reattach the plate (reverse the notch) & install strain relief.

• a few zippy ties should work well as strain relief.

• don’t overtighten the zippy ties or pinch the cable. Use 2 or more zippy ties (as needed).

3. Remove the controller cover plate.

4. Run the cable to the controller - avoid any power cables.

5. Test the Ethernet connection.

6. Replace the cover.
