You want to promote your Operation.

Issue discounts (coupons) using customized self-defined codes to make that happen. These codes enable your customers to receive percentages off transactions transaction fees at your BATM for a certain period of time.

The discounts come off your discount applies to your transaction fees - not the transaction amount or markup.

  • e.g. you charge a 10% fee, and the customer uses a 10% 40% discount off that fee: they pay only a 9% 6% fee.

  • e.g. you offer a 100% discount: the user will pay no fee (but full price + markup for the coin).

Tip

Discount settings are not required for initial configuration and may be safely ignored until you're ready to promote your business.

Code(REQUIRED): a short alphanumeric code (i.e. 8 characters) to be typed into the BATM during a transaction. This code is NOT case-sensitive and will be automatically capitalized when you save it.

Discount Type:

  • Discount from fee: (default) value of the fee discount.

    • if you normally charge a $10 fee - a 90% discount here will reduce the fee to $1.

  • Direct fee: value of the fee. The discount is only applied if the direct fee is not less than the fee set on the terminal: absolute fee %.

    • At the time of transaction, one of two fees are applied - the lesser of:

      • the original fee, or

      • the specified “discounted” fee.

    • Example 1 - the transaction has a 5% fee and the direct fee is 6%.

      • Use of the discount fails.

      • The customer is charged the original 5% fee.

      • The BATM reports to the customer that the discount cannot be used.

    • Example 2 - the transaction charges a 5% fee and the direct fee is: 4%.

      • The 4% fee will be applied.

      • The customer is only charged a 4% fee.

Discount From Buy Profit Fee: the amount of discount off the BUY fee.
