GB Safe Templates

GB Safe Templates

Set your common GB Safe Settings here. Reuse these Templates when you deploy a new GB Safe and skip having to change some common GB Safe settings. Changes made to a Template will carry over immediately to all GB Safes that use the Template, making fleet-wide changes simple.

Currencies

You'll need to have at least one type of paper currency (fiat) setup in (“Fiat Settings”) to complete this section.

image-20260203-200844.png

Main Cash Currency *: select the primary type of currency your bill acceptor is designed to receive.

This is a mandatory field and must be entered to save the Template.

See the Acceptor info displayed on your GB Safe Settings to identify your supported billset.

  • Each of these may be added and configured in the main menu “Fiat Settings”.

  • The first currency (i.e. USD in USDCADEUR) must be used & listed first.

  • All Safes that use this Template must use the same billset.

Additional Cash Currencies: if your bill acceptor takes multiple currencies, specify them here. See the bill acceptor specifications for your GB Safe to determine which currencies are supported.

Example: for US sales - the US Dollar, the Euro, & the Canadian Dollar (USDEURCAD) billsets are installed by default in the Safe, so in this example you would set “USD” as the “Main Cash Currency” (above) and add “EUR” and “CAD” here. You may skip this area if you only want to accept the main cash currency (USD).

Fiat Settings

Assign a fiat setting to each Cash Currency identified in the previous step.

This is a mandatory field and must be entered to save the Template.

Languages

General Bytes' products supports most languages!

Default Language*: the language that the GB Safe automatically uses (unless another is selected).

This is a mandatory field and must be entered to save the Template.

Preferred Languages*: the languages you wish to offer the customer for GB Safe usage.

This is a mandatory field and must be entered to save the Template.

Custom Strings

These messages are displayed on your GB Safe, receipts, and messages. Select the languages above to add those possible customization options for this section.
