BNR Cashbox Removal & Insertion

BNR Cashbox Removal & Insertion

The BNR’s cashbox handling is described in the following steps.

Removal:

1. Insert the main key & rotate it clockwise 45 degrees.

  • The key only rotates in a single direction, and only 45 degrees (1/8 of a turn).

2. Eject the cashbox by pushing back the nearby ejection tab.

  • Do not force the tab further after the cashbox has begun to eject.

3. Pull out the cashbox using the yellow handle.

  • It should just slide right out.

Insertion:

NOTE: to re-insert the cashbox, you must open the cashbox first!

  • The reset indicator shows if the cashbox has been physically opened.

    • Green = reset, grey = unopened.

  • An internal error will be triggered in the Recycler if the cashbox is inserted while the indicator is grey.

  • The Recycler won’t function until the cashbox is removed and opened.

Example of a properly reset cashbox ready for installation and use.

1. Slide the closed & locked cashbox fully into the empty slot.

The cashbox will click into place. Move the ejection tab forward.

2. Rotate & remove the key.

The recycler will then reinitialize. It will take a few minutes.

  • The reset indicator on the cashbox will transition to grey during initialization.
