This is a step-by-step guide for adding bitcoind as a Hot Wallet Buy sou= rce. The following example is based on the presumption that the bitcoind da= emon has been installed, configured, and tested for proper use.
This guide is intended to help you setup a working Bitcoin Core server w= ith a functional CAS.
User: this is the =E2=80=9CRPC User=E2=80=9D you create= d when setting up the node. For this example we'll just say it's =E2=80=9Cr= pcuser=E2=80=9D.
Password: is the =E2=80=9CRPC Password=E2=80=9D created= by rpcauth.py earlier, or the one you made up (if you didn't implement a t= oken). For this example, we'll make the password just plain =E2=80=9C= rpcpw=E2=80=9D.
NOTE: this password is DIFFERENT than any Wallet Tunnel password provide= d.
Host: the IP of the Bitcoin Core server.
If using a SSH tunnel, it would be: 127.0.0.1
When using the Wallet Tunnel= , the IP is the server's public IP.
Port: the exposed port of the Bitcoin Core server (norm= ally 8332).
Label: (optional) a wallet label specified within your = Bitcoin Core implementation.
Enter the =E2=80=9CCrypto Settings=E2=80=9D menu in the left-hand column= .
Click on the =E2=80=9C+ ADD=E2=80=9D button.
Create a suitable description, i.e. =E2=80=9CBitcoind BTC=E2=80=9D.
<= /li>Select =E2=80=9CBTC=E2=80=9D for the required Crypto Currency* setting.<= /p>
Set Configuration Cash Currency* to=E2=80=9CUSD=E2=80=9D (or whatever yo= ur local currency might be).
Set Buy Rate Source to whatever source you prefer.
Set Minimum Cash Amount Per Transaction*
Enter the smallest transaction amount you'll accept.
When a transaction has been initiated by the customer, the first banknot= e inserted in the acceptor must be this amount, or more.
8. Select your Hot Wallet Buy source to =E2=80=9CBitcoin Core - bitcoind= =E2=80=9D.
9. Enter the Parameters for bitcoind as determined in the previous steps= :
Example (typical): =E2=80=9Chttp:rpcuser:rpcpw:127.0.0.1:8332=E2=80=9D= p>
10. If you are using the GB Wall= et Tunnel, enable it and enter the tunnel password:
11. Click on =E2=80=9CSUBMIT=E2=80=9D to save your settings:
Test your settings before deploying them.
Save your setting first,
return to the same Crypto Setting,
run the test(s).
Configure the Hot Wallet Sell using the same parameters if you implement= it on any 2-way BATMs.
